Wine Tasting - Costieres de Nimes

Name: Costieres de Nimes
Variety: Blended - Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre
Region: Rhone Valley
Country: France
Year: 2016
Price: $15, on sale for $4.95
Winery review: This mouthwatering rosé is a traditional blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. It's medium-bodied, boasting notes of fresh herbs, cherries and white chocolate, balanced by a hints of sea spray. Drink it over the next year.
My review: very acidic and kind of citrusy, hints of lemon and/ it grapefuit. Light body but not a huge fan. Kind of a stinging after taste

Wine Tasting - Viogner

Name: Coteaux de l’Ardeche Viognier
Variety: Varietal white
Region: Rhone Valley
Country: France
Year: 2014
Price: $20, on sale for $9.95
Winery review: Viognier, one of the finest grape varieties, originates from the Rhône Valley of France. When well looked after, it produces a distinctive, particularly fragrant wine, a true delight to the senses. Saint Régis is a great Viognier bottling, with peachy aromas, hints of tangerine and menthol, and a pure and fresh character.
My review: white wine smells sweet, light, but has a very acidic after taste. Kinda has a fruity taste, maybe dried fruit like prunes with maybe a hint of lemon
